Experience
With the extensive security, risk management and business continuity planning experience, the following represents some of the recent works undertaken:

• Development of protective services (security) briefs for design and construction of acute mental health, youth justice, care and protection and correctional facilities.
• Risk assessments and preparation of design briefs and risk management programs for major cultural facilities in New Zealand and Australia including museums, archives, and art galleries.
• Strategic reviews of security risk management at major hospitals.
• Development of standards and guidelines for the design and management of premises, and field situations where service staff are placed at high risk from threatening, aggressive and violent customers.
• Design and review of protective arrangements for public buildings, computer centres and other highly critical operational facilities for most major banks, insurance companies, government departments and airlines in New Zealand and Australia.
• Advice to rail authorities in NSW and NZ in the application of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) for safe commuter facilities.
• Evaluation and planning of secure urban public place environments and preparation of public safety improvement programs through application of CPTED research pioneered by Stoks and now applied worldwide.
• Extensive work with several banks to evaluate security arrangements and develop security improvement programs.
• Preparation of auditable agreements for calling tenders and managing services provided by the security industry.
• Participation in government committees of enquiries into forensic mental health facilities, and into the security of correctional institutions. Other special assignments for government security agencies.
• Carried out numerous risk assessments for critical functions for major corporates as a prerequisite for focusing business continuity plans.
