Work Health & Safety Workshops

The new National Model Work Health & Safety Act requires that all responsible decision makers and managers exercise due diligence by positively demonstrating their duty of care.

R2A is running a half-day workshop for Senior Managers and Corporate Counsel to explain the implications of the new Act on Organisational governance especially with regard to safety matters and how you can positively demonstrate due diligence.

The changes are such that your current OH&S system, most likely, won't comply with the new legislation.

The workshop will provide participants with:

  • An appreciation of the Model Act and relevant High Court case law and the impacts of such
  • An understanding of the paradigm shift from hazard based risk management to precaution based risk management
  • An understanding of the requirement for a positive duty of care for officers to exercise due diligence (excluding State and Federal Ministers)
  • An appreciation of R2A’s defensible risk management approach including the results from a pilot case study completed in February 2011.

The workshop will run:

  • Sydney - Tuesday, 14th February 2012

Registration:

The cost is $595 per person incl. GST.
Places are limited.

All registered participants also receive a copy of the R2A text, valued at $235.
